Focus on Greenfield Opportunities
SDCL has formed the SDCL Green Energy Solutions Fund Limited Partnership (GESF) to continue SDCL’s long and successful track record of investing in sustainable energy infrastructure.
Domiciled in Ireland, the Fund has a focus on late-stage development opportunities and greenfield construction opportunities in Europe (including the UK and Switzerland) and North America (namely the US and Canada).
GESF will invest in projects focused on the energy transition specifically developed for corporate or public off-take counterparties.
Investments are expected to be made across GESF’s three target segments:
- On-site generation
- Energy efficiency
- Clean energy solutions
These three segments are all areas in which SDCL has been investing for over ten years.
Across these target segments, SDCL expects to focus on developing projects in the following sectors:
- Commercial buildings
- Digital infrastructure
- Healthcare
- Industrials
- Power
- Transport
SDCL will invest in accordance with its Responsible Investment Policy, designed to ensure that the fund is invested on a long-term, responsible and sustainable basis.
